Human and economy geography

The industry of Valles Occidental, is very important because is concentrated in the south of the region, it coincides with the flatter area. The main industrial town are Sabadell and Terrassa, who share capital status, Rubí and Cerdanyola del Vallès.
The most important industries are textiles, metallurgy, machinery, electrical equipment, construction, chemical, paper, graphic arts and food. As a result of the industrial crisis of the late 70's and early 80's there has been important comercial and service sector develop. In the north, economy is preomiantly rural, housing estates second homes.
